Destroy and Rebuild
Hi everyone. I’m back after a long hiatus; my blog was previously on weebly, but I became increasingly frustrated by its limited functionality. I also took the time away to complete my first book; an urban fiction novel called “The Vapours.” Through this experience, I realized that certain project can’t be rushed. You just have to stay on the course, go through all the trials and errors, and watch it grow to fruition. But through this experience, I feel that I’ve grown, and I can apply those lessons to my blog.
So many things have happened during my time away, and I felt a lot of missed opportunities have passed me by. At the same time, I’m going through the dilemma of whether to totally start the blog from scratch? Or should I resume blogging with an almost two year gap in between? I feel that a lot of my previous posts are dated. But it’s also hard to delete two plus years of blogging and start from scratch.
I do feel like a newbie ‘out-of-touch’ blogger right now. But I also see this as a new opportunity to revamp my blog and perhaps, take it in another direction. Some projects just need renovating and a revamp. But at the same time you still risk not having the same energy under a different exterior. Sometimes, you can build on things that you’ve already established. Other times, you just have to destroy to rebuild.
